Reverse Circulation Drilling (R.C.Drilling), also known as "Centre Sample Recovery" or "Dual Wall Drilling," utilizes a Dual Wall Pipe system. The drilling medium (typically high-pressure air) flows between the outer and inner tubes down to the drill bit face, then returns up the center tube along with the sample cuttings.

No contamination: The R.C. System collects samples through recovery holes in the drill bit face immediately as cuttings form, preventing sample loss and contamination during travel through the hammer.
Higher production: In broken and fractured ground conditions, R.C. systems often outperform conventional hammers in penetration rates.
Dry sample collection: Even in water-bearing strata, dry samples can often be collected as cuttings are captured immediately upon formation.
Higher sample recovery: With sample collection at the bit face and proper bit-to-chuck matching, recovery rates up to 98% are achievable with minimal sample bypass.
